Marine Corps Challenge Coin

The Marine Corps Police Academy (MCPA) is a United States Marine Corps certified law enforcement training academy. It is operated under the supervision and leadership of the Director, Security Division (PS), and Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC). The MCPA Executive also serves as the Head, Training and Education for the Supporting Establishment Law Enforcement (SELE) Program, PS, HQMC.

This challenge coin is commissioned by the Laredo Law Enforcement Marines. Located deep in the heart of South Texas at mile marker 1 of Interstate Highway 35, Laredo is the beginning of the Lone Star State and a travel experience that is American, Texan and Mexican all in one. Here, you’ll find a blend of culture, language, culinary influences and ambiance that can only be found deep in the heart of South Texas.

They wanted something clean and raw, no unnecessary gimmicks and ornaments. We put the image of the Texas map with the Marine Corps emblem on top of it, on one side of the coin. On the other side, a minimalistic grungy image of the star spangled banner, only painted with blue & black. Both sides have unpainted inscriptions enclosing the graphics in the middle. And what we get is a charming straightforward custom challenge coin.

Freemason Lodge Challenge Coin

Freemason Lodge Challenge Coin

Freemason Lodge Challenge Coin

The word lodge really has two meanings to a Freemason. It is both a place where Masonic meetings are held, and a collective term for the members who meet there. So, as weird as it sounds, you could say that a lodge meets in a lodge. In fact, many different lodges can meet at different times in the same lodge building. This practice is common in larger cities, where one building may have many rooms for lodge meetings and dozens of lodges that share them.

A lodge room contains much that is based on interpretations of descriptions of Solomon’s Temple. There are many variations throughout the world, depending on differences in customs, rituals, and rules, but in general, lodge rooms are arranged in a very similar fashion. This coin is requested by George Washington Lodge No. 820, Located in Kaiserslautern, Germany, under the Jurisdiction of the American Canadian Grand Lodge AF&AM.

They wanted something classic and exclusive, that would represent the heritage of the lodge. We put the Freemason logo on one side, with the name of the lodge encircling it. And we applied the 4-leaf clover, the symbol of the Freemasons of Germany, on the other side, enclosed with masonic logos and also the name of the city and year it was built. Pale golden finish is chosen as the base coat of the coin, end everything else is beautifully engraved and painted.

Information Warfare Training Command (IWTC) Virginia Beach, located at Naval Air Station Oceana Dam Neck Annex, is one of four commands for the Center for Information Warfare Training (CIWT), a learning center for Naval Education and Training Command. They provide a continuum of information warfare training to Navy and joint service personnel that prepares them to conduct information warfare across the full spectrum of military operations.

The United States Navy’s Center for Information Warfare Training (CIWT) is one of the learning centers of Naval Education and Training Command. The Center also oversees Language, Regional Expertise and Culture.

The basic concept of their custom challenge coin is not sophisticated, bet they wanted us to do it right that it had to have a nice visual ‘depth’, so we had to make sure that every engraved and embossed elements need to have the perfect height against each other. One side would be the picture on their emblem, and on the other side would be the text of the US Military Oath of Enlistment. The result is a beautiful, blue challenge coin done right.

Podcast Challenge Coin

Beginning in September of 2017, Adam and Ben created a new podcast called The Greatest Discovery, which focuses on new Star Trek properties starting with Discovery. The Greatest Generation is a comedy podcast about Star Trek, beloved by everyone from people who’ve never seen an episode to hardcore nerds who are fluent in Klingon. Once a week Benjamin Ahr Harrison and Adam Pranica watch an episode of Star Trek and tell you what’s great, what’s bad, and what’s hilarious about the show they grew up loving, and still do.

When we were commissioned to do their custom challenge coin, we realized that our design would be shown to the fans of Star Trek. So, we had to be certain that our design relates to them, and also make sure that there’s no errors which a Star Trek fan could recognize from a mile away.

The basic concept of this fun challenge coin is pretty simple, The Greatest Generation logo would be the one side of the coin, and the image of DeSoto on the other. For the logo is quite easy because we just they already have a colorful logo, and we had it embossed and painted nicely, and enclosed with some bold line. On the other side, the portrait of DeSoto was engraved smoothly, also encircled with bold yellow line with some etched inscriptions on it.

Food & Beverage Challenge Coin

Tate & Lyle is a leading global provider of food and beverage ingredients and solutions. Supported by their 160-year history of ingredient innovation, they partner with customers to provide consumers with healthier and tastier choices when they eat and drink. Their purpose is simple: to help people all over the world make healthier and tastier food and drink choices, whilst supporting our communities and caring for our planet, not just today but for the future.

The business thrived in Decatur, leading to the construction of one of the city’s most iconic sights: the A.E. Staley Mfg. Co. Building on East Eldorado Street. The grand office building opened in 1930, nicknamed ‘Castle in the Cornfields’. A century ago, then owner Augustus Eugene Staley established an employee football team – the Decatur Staleys, who went on to become the Chicago Bears.

With that much history in a company, sometimes what you need is just a token of simplicity which reminds you what started it all. This custom challenge coin for Tate & Lyle is that kind of token. With only their iconic building etched to one side of the coin, and only engraved inscriptions on the other side. This well-crafted coin really emanates the pure soul of the company.
