The United States Army’s 7th Signal Command (Theater) is responsible for the integration, security and defense of Army networks in the Continental United States. Their mission is to install, operate, and defend Network and Mission Command capabilities for Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational forces within the Western Hemisphere in support of Unified Land Operations.

We were very honored when they asked us to make a custom challenge coin for them, and also very excited because we think they have one of the coolest mascot ever, a Werewolf! So, the basic design concept is that we put the Signal Corps insignia on one side of the coin, and the 7th SIG CMD (T) logo with the mascot on the other side. Both symbols has already enough elements and details, so what we needed to do was just to placed them neatly on the coin base, and choose the right font and colors to match them.

The finish of this challenge coin is just well executed. The gold as the base color of the coin with the pattern on the edge and the glossy paint for the graphics, really match the golden age comic vibe that the mascot has. The embossed and painted details on the insignia and the letterings are just spot on.

Gaming Commission Challenge Coin

Gaming Commission Challenge Coin

Gaming Commission Challenge Coin

The Squaxin Island Gaming Commission (SIGC) was established by Ordinance in 1994 and later ratified in 2015 and 2021. The Commission is a five-member body appointed with the terms and conditions of the Squaxin Island Tribal Council. The Commission has the authority to develop and implement regulations for, and supervise the operation of, any gaming operations established within the jurisdiction of the Squaxin Island Tribe. Their Mission: Exercising Tribal sovereignty by governing and regulating gambling activities licensed or allowed by the Tribe.

The concept for the custom challenge coin is pretty simple, we only put the logos of the Squaxin Island Tribe and the SIGC on the sides of the coin. They have a very cool and unique logo with strong Native American vibe, the challenge would be to balance it with the layout of the texts, the choice of colors, and the proportion of the other elements.

Using dark color as the base really pops out the graphics and letterings on the coin. We really love the white fonts used for the text, too, it goes well with the overall theme of the coin. The fish logo is well embossed and painted, without missing any small details, as also you can see on the details of the star in the SIGC logo.

Firefighter Memorial Challenge Coin

Firefighter Memorial Challenge Coin

Firefighter Memorial Challenge Coin

Custom challenge coins are one of the thing that we can create as a token of remembrance or a memento of the people that have passed. While it’s only a relatively small object, it will be a perfect keepsake for anyone dear to them. A beautiful and well-built coin would always be a reminder of those people, no matter how you keep and treat it. A memorial challenge coin will honor your passed family or fellow companion in an elegant way.

As you can see in this firefighter memorial challenge coin, made for Hanover Fire EMS Department to honor their fellow firefighter. They wanted a really unique but elegant coin, so we choose a rectangle shaped coin as the base. We put the photo of the fire fighter in memoriam on one side, and we made a really nice looking illustration of a fighter in action on the other side. And then we also placed the logos & insignias of the fire department around the photo.

The coin is really one-of-a-kind, with its uncommon rectangle shape and colorful illustration and photo. The small embossed and engraved details on this challenge coin is superb, every letters is readable and even the high resolution photo is printed nicely.

Global Military Challenge Coin

Global Military Challenge Coin

Global Military Challenge Coin

This coin was commissioned by the University of Maryland Global Campus, and they wanted a very unique and deluxe custom challenge coin for their Global Military Operations team. They would like the challenge coin to represent the university which was established in 1947, which is an online state university that offers online academic programs in fast-growing and in-demand fields, with no-cost digital course materials in nearly every course, and locations in Maryland and at military installations around the world.

We decided to design a monochrome colored challenge coin that would highlight the original logo of the Global Military Operations and University of Maryland Global Campus. So basically we just put the Global Military Operations logo on the front, and the UMGC original logo on the back of the coin as the center of the graphic. To make them stand out, we put them in a right ratio with face of the coin, and have it encircled with the letterings which also perfectly placed to balance out the relatively big logo graphics in the middle. And lastly, a ribbon-shaped texture is chosen to give the coin a nice edge.

The brushed brass give the overall look of the coin to be unique and lavish. The perfectly lay-outed letterings still readable with precise details, and the logos on both sides of the coin are perfectly engraved and painted that they pops out and recognizable in a glance. We’re very happy with the result and they are, too!

Fleet Logistics Challenge Coin

Fleet Logistics Challenge Coin

Fleet Logistics Challenge Coin

FLELOGSUPPRON 59, short for Fleet Logistics Support Squadron Five Nine aka VR-59, also nicknamed “The Lone Star Express” is a transport squadron of the Fleet Logistics Support Wing of the United States Navy. They asked us to create a custom challenge coin for their Commander Officer, and we’re more than glad to design the coin to be something elegant, unique and representative.

The squadron maintains three modified Boeing Next-Generation 737-700C aircraft, designated as the C-40A Clipper, and we decided to incorporate the image of airplane with the VR-59 logo to give the coin more details. Also for to give more necessary complexities to the overall layout of this custom challenge coin design, we put the texts and letterings around it. And on the back of the coin, we put the logo of the Navy Commanding Officer, with the officer’s name and title encircling it.

The production of the coin didn’t meet any struggle to achieve the details needed on the visual elements that we want to show on this challenge coin. The simplicity of of the combination of the gold colored coin, blue background and white accent, successfully maintaining the the military look while still radiate luxury and exclusiveness.
