Rainbow Girls Challenge Coin

The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls (IORG) is a Masonic youth service organization that teaches leadership training through community service. Rainbow members are between the ages of 11 and 20 years old. Rainbow welcomes everyone, regardless of race, creed, color, or national origin.

Rainbow Girls take an oath to respect their parents, become involved in the church of their choice, be true friends, be patriotic, and be of service to others. We have a member handshake, just like the Scouts. They receive and wear merit bars and jewelry, like Scouts, or many Sorority or Fraternity members.

One of the merit prizes that they give is a challenge coin, which we had the opportunity to produce. They wanted a custom challenge coin that is elegant and graceful, yet represents the spirit of Rainbow Girls, which is colorful. We at Embleholics have a limitless combination of materials and finishes to choose from for your custom products.

For this coin, we used brushed brass-colored metal as the main material, and we used high-quality paint for coloring the sculpted graphic designs. We engraved the logo of the IORG on both sides of the coin and also machined some inscriptions around it. You can see in the photos to the right that the combination works really well.

Raftelis Financial Consultants, Inc. operates as a management consulting company. The Company focuses on finance, assessment, communications, technology, executive recruitment, and strategic planning for local governments and utilities to improve financial foundation and organizational performance. Raftelis Financial Consultants serves clients worldwide.

Raftelis helps local governments and utilities thrive by providing management consulting expertise to help transform local governments and utilities. They’ve helped more than 600 organizations in the last year alone. They work in all areas of management consulting including finance, assessment, communications, technology, executive recruitment, and strategic planning.

They asked us to manufacture them one modern-looking and elegant custom challenge coin. Nothing extraordinary or unusual about the concept design of the coin, it’s a common round-shaped challenge coin. The challenge would be designing the layouts, picking the right fonts and their sizes, and choosing the final finish so the coin would not look outdated.

We left the edge of the coin clean without any patterns engraved and we also made the rims thin to give it a contemporary look. The engraved logo of Raftelis on the front side of the coin was machined beautifully with an angle so it is concave and has depth to the look. The coin was finalized with a chrome finish and glossy solid paints.

Racine Fire Department Coin

Racine Fire Department Coin

Racine Fire Department Coin

Racine is a city with a population of 77,816 and the county seat of Racine County, Wisconsin, United States. It is located on the shore of Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Root River. Racine is the headquarters of a number of industries, including J. I. Case heavy equipment, S. C. Johnson & Son cleaning and chemical products, Dremel Corporation, Reliance Controls Corporation time controls and transfer switches, Twin Disc, and Arthur B. Modine heat exchangers.

The City of Racine Fire Department is a dedicated team of fire service professionals and they are proud to serve the citizens of Racine. Through teamwork, training, and communications we provide fire protection services, fire prevention and inspection services, basic and advanced life support services, and public education services.

When they contacted us to have their Fire Department’s custom challenge coin built, they also requested that the coin also be used as a keychain, which we didn’t have a problem with since our production team is experienced with making accessories other than coins, such as bottle openers and belt buckles, among other things.

Our computerized coin production machine could create additional shapes or constructions to the usual coin design. For this keychain coin, we only need to add a small base protruding from the base material, with a hole in it to hook the keychain to.

Quinault Fire Department Coin

Quinault Fire Department Coin

Quinault Fire Department Coin

The Quinault are a group of Native American peoples from western Washington in the United States. The name “Quinault” is an anglicized version of the traditional name of a village at the mouth of the Quinault River, today called Taholah. The Quinault Indian Reservation is located on the Pacific coast of Washington, primarily in northwestern Grays Harbor County, with small parts extending north into southwestern Jefferson County.

The QIN or Quinault Indian Nation is a sovereign nation with the inherent right to govern itself and deal with other tribes and nations on a government-to-government basis. By-laws established in 1922 and a constitution approved in 1975 form the foundations of the modern-day Quinault government.

We had the chance to make a custom challenge coin for the Quinault Fire Department. They want to build a custom challenge coin that represents the culture and spirit of the Quinault people, by using colorful graphic designs and symbols.

The base material that we chose for the coin was an unpainted bare metal, and the Quinault Fire Department’s logo was engraved on the front side, and the logo of the Quinault Indian Nation on the back, using our state-of-the-art machinery. We applied colors on both reliefs using solid glossy paints.

Orondo Fire Department Bottle Opener

Orondo Fire Department Bottle Opener

Orondo Fire Department Bottle Opener

Orondo is an unincorporated community in Douglas County, Washington, United States, located alongside the eastern part of the Columbia River. According to U.S. Census, the population is estimated to be 1995 with a marginal error of 338 as of 2017. The town supports a U.S. Post Office, an elementary school, and many fruit stands along U.S. Highway 97.

Orondo Fire Department’s mission is to protect the lives and the property of the citizens and visitors in our district and community through emergency response, education, and prevention. The Orondo Fire Department responds to emergencies on the East Side of the Columbia River from Turtle Rock on the South end to the North of the Beebe Bridge.

We were tasked with producing a custom bottle opener for the Orondo Fire Department. They requested a bottle opener with a pretty simple concept design, but it had some details that needed to be done properly. The design was a rectangular-shaped bottle opener with curved corners, with their emblem on one side and the engraved Star Spangled Banner on the other.

Since a custom bottle opener is a functional memento, we had to make sure with our team of designers that the construction of the final product would let it do its job and be durable enough to endure the test of time. We also need to make sure that the engraving process won’t leave the base material too thin to be easily broken.
