Pledge of Allegiance Coin

The Pledge of Allegiance is a patriotic recited verse that promises allegiance to the flag of the United States and the Republic of the United States of America. it was written in August 1892 by the socialist minister Francis Bellamy and was originally published in The Youth’s Companion on September 8, 1892.

According to historians, there were surges in American patriotic oaths and pledges to the flag after the Civil War, when tensions surrounding political loyalties lasted, and in the 1880s, as rates of immigration increased distinctively. Bellamy had hoped that the pledge would be used by citizens in any country.

The verse means so much to a lot of people that they want to immortalize it in the shape of a token or memento. This custom challenge coin was an example of it. The coin was shaped rectangularly just like the Star Spangled Banner, and the request was to have it inscribed with the Pledge of Alliance and an image of a bald eagle on one side.

We digitally designed it with some layouts that gave the client some options. Once it was chosen, we went through the more detailed version of the computerized design and had it approved and final checked before we sent it to our production line.

We at Embleholics are always excited about our projects, no matter how difficult or complex they are, and we’re always ready to try and build new things that our clients request. A lot of time we do the usual stuff such as creating custom challenge coins, but once in a while our clients order something different because they probably want to try and have new things

This one featured here is one of those unusual orders that we get. Our client requested us to build a memento in the form of a keychain that also functions as a bottle opener.

A keychain is a small ring or chain of metal to which several keys can be attached. While it’s usually small and cheap, a lot of people in the world always have them because it’s an example of a product that has a specific useful purpose but also has sentimental value to the owner.

This is not an ordinary keychain because it also can be used as a bottle opener, another small tool that every household must have. There are a lot of kinds of bottle openers out there, but essentially it has always been made from something sturdy like metal, and it has to have a fulcrum, a tooth, and a lever.

This custom keychain & bottle opener have the shape of a hatchet. Made with brass-colored metal and as you can see even with the curved surfaces we could apply engravings and reliefs on it.

Oak Fire Challenge Coin

The Oak Fire was a devastating wildfire during the 2022 California wildfire season that burned north of the community of Bootjack in Mariposa County, California, and in the Sierra National Forest. The fire broke out on Friday in central California and is raging while parts of the United States swelter through a heatwave. The Oak fire was ignited in a dry forest brush in the same area by an arsonist, who was eventually identified.

The calamitous fire burned roughly 20,000 acres west of Yosemite National Park last summer and was devastating to the area’s Indigenous tribes, including the Southern Sierra Miwuk Nation. The fire’s rapid growth has also made evacuation efforts more difficult, and Mariposa County has been under a state of emergency since the fire started to spread.

This coin was made to commemorate the tragedy of the Oak Fire and to honor all of the firefighters, volunteers, and people of Mariposa County. The design that we used for this custom commemorative coin was an artwork taken from a photo of the firefighting aircraft dropping fire retardant from above.

As with other custom coins we have produced, the artwork was made digitally and had been consulted back and forth with our client until it was approved and we continued with the crafting process.

The belt buckles history originated at least 2,000 years back to the age of the Romans when they were developed for military applications to hold straps for sword scabbards and horse-riding gear. Belt buckles and other fixtures are used on a variety of belts, including cingula, baltea, baldrics, and later waist belts. This construction and function have remained unchanged for millennia.

Belt buckles have been a part of military uniforms for centuries. The first belt buckle was created in the 13th century and was made out of iron. Today, buckles are used for equestrian riding gear, shoes, and other apparel, for securing cargo like ratchet straps, safety devices such as seatbelt buckles, and other industrial applications.

This custom belt buckle that we made for the US Navy’s NPTU SSC is one of the funkiest buckles you can find on the market. It’s designed and shaped like a hotdog, in the style of the 60s Golden Era cartoon style. The concept design was just a cartoony hotdog image with the title ‘Section 2’ and other inscriptions in front of it.

NTC Bronco Team Custom Buckle

NTC or The National Training Center, provides U.S. military units and personnel with realistic pre-deployment training scenarios in all aspects of armed conflict. Every month an Army unit, along with support from the Marines, Air Force, and the Navy, come together at the NTC and conduct their final preparation exercise prior to deployment.

NTC Brigade Trainers plan, conduct, and administer programs that educate and improve the knowledge, skills, and abilities of military personnel. They create curriculum and accompanying materials, teach content, and assess student performance. Some specialize in functional areas, such as military-specific/tactical.

We were asked by the NTC Brigade Trainers, also known as the ‘Broncos’ to manufacture a custom belt buckle for them. The design was quite simple, an oval-shaped buckle with their logo on it. They also requested black and gold for the colors, and for the graphics and lettering to be engraved.

We have experience producing custom military challenge coins for over ten years, and lately, custom military belt buckle is one of the products that are requested by a lot of organizations and institutions. The production process is pretty much the same as crafting coins, but for buckles, we also need to make sure that the construction is made from quality material and strong enough for it to properly function as a belt buckle.
