Safe Streets Task Force Coin

Safe Streets Task Force, also officially called The Violent Gang Safe Streets Task Force, is the FBI’s vehicle through which all of the federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies collaboratively address the violent crime plaguing communities. These task forces track down violent gangs through sustained, proactive, coordinated investigations to obtain prosecutions on violations such as racketeering, drug conspiracy, and firearms violations.

SSTFs focus primarily on street gang and drug-related violence and address specific violent crime problems through the teaming of federal, state, and local law enforcement officers and prosecutors to conduct long-term, proactive investigations. In addition, the SSTFs address the most significant violent fugitive investigations.

We had the opportunity to build them an awesome and unique custom challenge coin for this Task Force. They wanted a normal coin design but with a twist. On the front side, they wanted to have the relief of a rattlesnake coiling over the skull of a bull, with the horns protruding over the edge of the coin. And on the back side, they wanted an engraved image of the scythe-wielding Death Angel standing in front of the FBI office.

After we made design mock-ups digitally, we chose the best one and had it go through the production line. Our state-of-the-art equipment could build unusual shapes such as this coin, and apply paint with colors and a good quality coating for durability.
