The Jamaica Regiment Coin
The Jamaica Regiment is the main formation of land troops in the Jamaica Defence Force. Initially formed in 195, the Jamaican Regiment is a full-time force. Recruits, of whom there is a steady stream, are required to serve for twelve months. Many are tradesmen, and after their years of service, they return to their trade.
The Jamaica Regiment is a non-mechanized infantry regiment consisting of five battalions, three regular infantry battalions, one territorial infantry battalion, and a Combat Support Battalion. The Jamaica Regiment continues to strive for excellence, always preparing to be fit and ready to fight whenever we are called upon to defend our country Jamaica.
They wanted a custom challenge coin and we were commissioned to design and produce a simple yet colorful challenge coin. They wanted coins with smooth edges, and to have the Jamaica Defense Force insignia embossed on one side, and the emblem of the Jamaica 1st Battalion on the other side.
When our clients submit their logo or emblem to us, we will have it converted to digital form in vector format. Then we will design the overall layout of the coin with a computer so it can be read and executed by our computerized machine. Once all of the reliefs and inscriptions are carved, the coin will be painted or coated for the final finish.
