Southern Police Institute Coin
The Southern Police Institute is a division of the Department of Criminal Justice, College of Arts and Sciences, University of Louisville. Beginning in 1951, the success of thousands of graduates provides ample evidence of the wisdom of this enterprise. Its mission is to enhance the professional development of law enforcement practitioners.
Since the creation of the Southern Police Institute, the program of instruction has been grounded in the belief that law enforcement is a demanding activity requiring the highest level of professional preparation. The unique course offerings and exceptionally well-planned instruction in the Southern Police Institute appeal to student officers throughout the United States.
We were ordered by the Southern Police Institute of Clermont, Florida, to manufacture their custom challenge coin. The challenge coin was built for the SPI Command Officers who were involved in the ‘Session 91’ development course. They wanted something classic, classy, and memorable to be awarded to them.
The coin was sculpted on both sides with the logo of SPI and the logo of Session 91. The front side of the coin was designed with the traditional design of a logo encircled with inscriptions. The rim of the back side of the coin was decorated with a unique pattern of tiny rectangles, made precisely by our computerized machine.
