Police Coins
Embleholics was asked to make this challenge coin for the Federal Bureau of Prisons which is a large agency and supports the Federal prison system. Many service members who get out of the military start to work with the Federal Bureau of Prisons because of their military history of security and law enforcement, and training in high security environments. Because of that that many  members in this organization know what challenge coins are.
With this police coins design we wanted to represent the building in which the member who commissioned this work currently works at. As always, we represented it with some detailed features that ensured people recognized it, but also large enough that you could see most of the building. As in this coin, we have done numerous buildings on coins, many even more detailed than this one. Specifically relevant to law enforcement challenge coins are the importance of police department buildings, prisons, or other headquarters. We also included in the design the slogan of the organization. The coin contains the seal of the organization on the back side of the coin.
Though these police coins don’t have a unique design in the shape, we did include the rope like finish on the edge of the coin. This, along with the detailed building on the front, gives the coin a 3D effect and unique feel. The coin is hand painted in specific areas and also has a gold and silver finish to give it an elegant design. Embleholics has worked with dozens of agencies to create law enforcement challenge coins.
