Drug Traffic Challenge Coins

High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) program, created by Congress with the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1988. The Washington/Baltimore HIDTA mission is to reduce drug trafficking and misuse by improving interagency collaboration, promoting accurate and timely information and intelligence sharing, and providing specialized training and other resources to its law enforcement, intelligence, treatment, and prevention initiatives. We are honored create this custom challenge coin for them.

Design-wise, they wanted a classic, old-school challenge coin. So, we needed to work on some basic layout which could fit the theme, but also leave room for high-precision details which we could achieve through our coin producing technology. From the flags, the building, and the letterings, we made sure that everything represent the trustworthy vision and mission of HIDTA.

The brass-colored base coin expose the classic feel of the whole design. The colors and the detailed embosses on the flags are magnificent, as you can see in the picture. The engraved HIDTA building on the front side of the coin shows enough details that the coin has a very authoritative and classy look. The letterings in dark color blend just perfectly with the base coin, and wonderfully engraved so it’s clearly readable.

Book Author Challenge Coin

While a lot of challenge coins usually are made for first responders, military organizations and armed forces, don’t forget that a lot of other organizations and institutions use them, too to honor their members’ achievement. One of them is the Book Author club, which asked us to design and create a really simple but very unique looking custom challenge coin for them.

While we only need to put an existing symbols that they already have on a coin, it didn’t make our job any easier because everything must be placed and sized right. The choice of colors and the type of finish and details that need to be added are also crucial to keep the overall design to be simple, yet shows eccentricity and intelligence. It was a fun work for us to do because we could really care a lot of about the balance, proportions and precision without being overwhelmed with unnecessary details.

The result is quite amazing as you can see. The clean edge and dark base colors of the custom challenge coin are bringing out the wolf head symbol and the letters which is embossed and colored in white. On the other side the symbol is not colored but still pops out from the maroon background. Everyone is happy with the end result of this beautiful coin.

All American Riders Challenge Coin

All American Riders Challenge Coin

All American Riders Challenge Coin

The All American Riders, founded in 2015, is providing supports for American veterans through motorcycle rides, fundraising events, and one-on-one aid. We feel honored when they asked us to design a challenge coin for them, and we think that a challenge coin would be a great memento for the members and anyone rewarded, as it will carry the spirit of the supportive acts that they have been giving through all these years.

The basic idea of the design is combining military and bikers theme, which they have as their logo, into something that would look not only unique, but also could represent them in a simple, firm, but luxurious way. Basically we put the their mission and purpose on the front of the coin, encircled in their logotype, using the font that they use on their logo which already have the American bikers feel to it. And we put the logo of All American Riders on the back of the challenge coin, added with the list of the armed forces they are supporting, on the center.

As you can see in the picture, the 3D embossed details put in the letters, stars, logo and diamond-cut style edge, are clean and precise and we are very happy with the result. The base color of the coin, which is gold, brings out the exclusiveness and luxury of the challenge coin. The navy blue tone down the overall look, while also pops out the golden letters as a background. And the red line used, we think make a perfect accent for the All American Riders challenge coin.

Fire Fighter Challenge Coin

Fire Fighter Challenge Coin

Fire Fighter Challenge Coin

Other than military services and institution, most of our clients are first responders. Fire Fighters & Departments are one of them, which means that we have to take notice while designing their custom challenge coins, so each of them should be unique and one of a kind, while using the more common elements such as the US Fire Department logo. This one here is designed for the city of Lemmon, SD Fire Fighters.

Aside from using the common Fire Department logo on one side, we use a really nice image of a fire fighter for the other side, but they want a simple and not too flashy challenge coin. So we decided to have a darkened brass as the color for the base material of the coin, and then we only put colors on the image of the Fire Fighter, and a bit on the logo of the Fire Department.

This creates a unique look that while the coin has a vintage classic look, a touch of colors on both sides give this challenge coin a nice accent. The engraved rope pattern on the edge of the coin and the simple boxy fonts that we choose for the lettering, fits perfectly with the other elements.

Fire Department Challenge Coin

The Fire Department of Enumclaw provides fire protection services and emergency aid for the City of Enumclaw, Washington, and 80 square miles of unincorporated King County surrounding the city. Their Mission Statement: Compassionately serving our community with a culture of safety and professionalism. And their vision is to build and maintain a culture of trust while meeting the needs of our growing community through a commitment.

With core values rooted deep within the department, we want to represent it in a classy and classic way. They have a timeless colorful logo with a lot of nice details in it, so what we need to do is to design a frame for it, which also has nice attributes to balance up the overall look, without being too overwhelming.

Precision in the embossed and engraved graphics and letterings, are what is needed to be done in the process of this custom fire department challenge coin manufacturing. Flawless cut and cast are seen even from afar. We are very happy with the end result, and we sincerely hope that this custom coin will be something that they could be proud of.
