114th Trooper School Coin

114th Trooper School Coin

State Patrol or also called state police, provincial police or regional police are a type of sub-national territorial police force found in nations organized as federations. In the United States, it is the primary highway patrol agency for the state and the officers, also known as ‘State Troopers’ perform mainly on the state’s Interstate systems, conducting speed enforcement and interdicting drugs and other criminal activities.

The academy for civilians to be trained and accepted as troopers is commonly known as ‘Trooper School’. Following a rigorous selection process, trooper cadets attend around 10 to 30 weeks of basic training courses. When they graduate, under close supervision, they will patrol highways and roads to enforce traffic and criminal laws

This custom challenge coin was built for the graduates of the 114th Trooper Basic Class. They wanted to make something classy and elegant, and also have a nice design concept for it. The idea is to have the two sides of the coin represent the heritage of the State Trooper and their latest force.

On one side we engraved a classic state trooper riding his vintage motorcycle, and on the other side, we placed the engraving of the newest state patrol car used by the troopers.

7th Infantry Division Coin

7th Infantry Division Coin

The 7th Infantry Division is an active duty infantry division of the United States Army. It’s authorized to protract the combat readiness of two Stryker brigade combat teams, a combat aviation brigade, a division artillery headquarters, and a National Guard Stryker brigade combat team, and participate in several yearlies partnered exercises and operations in support of the U.S. Army Pacific and the Indo-Pacific region.

Based at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, The 7th Infantry Division is also home to two of the Army’s newest enabling battlefield capabilities, the Multi Domain Task Force and the Intelligence, Information, Cyber, Electronic Warfare, and Space Capabilities, or I2CEWS battalion. The 7th Infantry Division is the only active-duty multi-component division headquarters in the Army.

They asked us to produce their custom challenge coin, which was going to be presented by their Command Career Counselor. They only wanted to have their insignia on one side, and on the other, they wanted us to put the rank and a couple of other logos, with a background of the engraved scenery of Joint Base Lewis–McChord.

You can see in the photo that the mountain background of the scenery was well-crafted, as well as the eagle on the logo, even if it’s quite small in dimension. Their original insignia on the other side was also etched and painted nicely.

Locust Fire Dept. Coin

Locust Fire Dept. Coin

Locust Fire Dept. Coin

Locust Volunteer Fire Department, which was established in 1971, is a community-based non-profit organization focused on the safety of the volunteer firefighters and the Locust Community. They provide fire safety and emergency care for residents within the Locust Community of Pottsboro. Pottsboro is a town in Grayson County, Texas, with a population of around 2,500.

The town was established in 1876 by James A. Potts, a pioneer settler who donated land for a town and a right-of-way so the Missouri–Kansas–Texas Railroad would extend its tracks westward from Denison to his settlement. Living in Pottsboro offers residents a sparse suburban feel and most residents own their homes. Many families and young professionals live in Pottsboro and residents tend to be conservative.

The custom challenge coin that they ordered from was something classic, but also has a modern feel to it. They asked us to put the emblem of the Locust Fire Department on the front side of the coin, and the logos of the Emergency Management divisions on the back.

While the emblem of the fire department has an orthodox-styled design, the other logos on the back are quite contemporary-looking. Added with a bold margin on the edge of the coin, without any etching or patterns, makes this coin look sharp and clean.

DLA Aviation Challenge Coin

DLA Aviation Challenge Coin

DLA Aviation Challenge Coin

DLA or The Defense Logistics Agency, along with its three centers, DLA Aviation, DLA Troop Support, and DLA Land and Maritime acquire the spare and reparable parts used throughout the Department of Defense. DLA Aviation is the Agency’s Aviation Supply Center obtaining parts for all the military services.

DLA Aviation is the aviation demand and supply manager for Defense Logistics Agency with more than 4,000 civilian and military personnel in 18 locations across the United States supporting more than 1,879 major weapon systems. A major subordinate command of the Defense Logistics Agency, DLA Aviation is the aviation demand and supply chain manager for DLA and much of the Defense Department.

They ordered a custom challenge coin, and they wanted something bold and straightforward. They asked for a black-colored coin as the base for the design elements to be put over it. Basically, they wanted to put the logo of The Defense Logistics Agency on the front of the coin, and the crests of all of the US Armed Forces such as the Army, Navy, Air Force, and US Marine, on the backside. They also asked us to put a sculpted Moose on the coin, to represent the Moose Creek Pipeline.

Veteran Hope Challenge Coin

Veteran Hope Challenge Coin

Veteran Hope Challenge Coin

The term “veteran” means a person who served in the active military, naval, or air service, and who was discharged or released therefrom under conditions other than dishonorable. In the United States, a veteran is a person who has served in the armed forces (including the United States National Guard and Reserve) and was discharged under conditions other than dishonorable.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, in 2019, there were more than 17 million veterans in the United States. In 2019, around 6 million U.S. veterans had served in the Vietnam War, and less than two thousand remained from wars prior to World War II. Urgency has resulted in a number of sources of help being made available for veterans. Many of these are independent, charitable organizations, and in some countries, the aftercare and rehabilitation services provided by Governments have been inadequate.

This is another custom challenge coin that honor the veterans of the USA which we worked on previously. While the coin looks simple from a distance, if you look close enough you’ll see all the small details that we managed to execute in the production.

As you can see in the photos, the diamond pattern on the edge, the detailed Taps trumpet & the saluting officer, the colored US Flag, and the inscription taken from a verse from the Bible, all need to be machined meticulously to achieve such precision.
