NIOC or Navy Information Operations Command provides and deploys, trained cryptologic warfare officers and enlisted personnel, expertise, and equipment to support signals intelligence (SIGINT), information operations (IO), and cyber operations for naval, air, surface, sub-surface, expeditionary, joint and Department of Defense (DoD) forces.

And the mission of NIOC-Colorado has been established by the Commander, U.S. TENTH Fleet, as follows: “Provide ready, trained and motivated Information Warfare Officers, Cryptologic Enlisted Personnel, and expertise to support Signals Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, Space, Information, and Cyber Operations for Aerospace Data Facility Colorado (ADF-C), National Security Agency Colorado (NSAC), and Commander Task Group 101 in support of Fleet, combat forces, and national intelligence operations and requirements worldwide.”

They ordered their custom challenge coin from us and requested that they wanted something different from the common challenge coin. They wanted the coin to be a rectangle, with the proportion close to a license plate.

On the front side, they wanted to put the mountains of colorado, some deer, and the Greenback cutthroat trout. On the back side, they only wanted to put three US Navy insignias on a diamond-plate pattern background, and some inscriptions to show that the coin was awarded at the NIOC Colorado’s Khaki Ball on September 22nd, 2017.

Jordan, Jesse, Go! Also known as JJGO, is a weekly comedy audio podcast, hosted by comedian Jordan Morris, a television writer, producer, and actor, and Jesse Thorn, a public radio host. JJGO began airing in 2007. The show is part of Maximum Fun, a podcast network run by Thorn. Thorn and Morris met as students at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they co-hosted the original version of The Sound of Young America.

Jordan, Jesse, Go! is a generally free-form comedy show lasting for about 90 minutes. Each episode begins with the theme song, “Love You”, by The Free Design, followed by an unstructured discussion between Thorn, Morris, and, usually, a guest. The guests mostly come from the world of alternative comedy, though occasionally the guests come from the broader entertainment world.

They ordered their custom challenge coin and asked us to build something that represents their spirit of fun & up-to-date. We put their logo on one side and graphic art on the other side. The graphic art was representing The Summer Boys of Summer Tour, with the image of a sun on a beach and the speedboat sailing on the sea.

It’s definitely an attractive modern-looking custom challenge coin. The clean cut, the fonts, and the graphic elements made this coin an awesome memento.

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), which is a sub-component of Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE), is the second largest criminal investigative agency in the United States. HSI is primarily concerned with transnational criminal organizations and focuses its authorities on issues such as human smuggling, drug trafficking organizations, violent street gangs, intellectual property rights, commercial fraud, child pornography, bulk cash smuggling, and counter-proliferation.

HSI is the principal investigative component of the Department of Homeland Security. HSI investigates, disrupts, and dismantles transnational criminal organizations and terrorist networks that threaten or seek to exploit the customs and immigration laws of the United States. HSI’s workforce consists of over 10,000 employees including special agents, criminal analysts, mission support personnel, and contract staff assigned to over 220 offices throughout the United States and across 50 countries worldwide.

The HSI of Cocoa Beach & Orlando, Florida, commissioned the production of their custom challenge coin to us. They wanted something shiny, elegant, yet looking cool. They asked us to put an image of a skull with an American flag pattern on it, and on the other side, they wanted to have a space shuttle, an alligator, their insignia, and the map of Florida to be etched there. You can see in the photos that this is one awesome and flashy challenge coin.

HHC 359th TTSB Coin

HHC (Headquarters and Headquarters Company) 359th TTSB (Tactical Theater Signal Brigade) is a unit in the US Army, which provides command and control to assigned and attached units. The 359th Signal Brigade supervises the installation, operation, and maintenance in the theater communications system excluding the division and corps systems. The brigade also hosts a Joint Command, Control, Computer and Communications (C4) Center, or JCCC.

HHC 359th TTSB is stationed in Fort Gordon, formerly known as Camp Gordon, is a United States Army installation established in October 1941. It is the current home of the United States Army Signal Corps, United States Army Cyber Command, and the Cyber Center of Excellence. The fort is located southwest of Augusta, Georgia.

They asked us to produce their custom challenge coin, and they requested to have it shaped like the shape of their insignia, rather than the common round-shaped challenge coin. They wanted to have their insignia to be engraved on one side, and on the other side, they wanted to have the insignia of the commander and the first sergeant to be engraved, as the presenter of the coin.

The combination of yellow and brown colors really creates the military aura of this challenge coin. The layout of graphics and letterings were all on point and nicely machined.
