Armed Forces Silver Eagle Coin

Armed Forces Silver Eagle Coin

Armed Forces Silver Eagle Coin

Since the beginning of time, man has used the eagle as a symbol of royalty, power, victory, and valor. My strength and courage have inspired men through the ages. The ancient people looked upon eagles as enemy of serpents, of good versus evil.

The Romans saw the eagle as the symbol of victory. As the Roman legions conquered the world, they marched under the standard of the eagle, with outstretched wings. The silver eagle was the symbol of the republic and the Roman Empire used the golden eagle as its symbol. It became the personal emblem of the Caesars, representing supreme authority.

The rise of Christianity also brought eagles still more honor. To the early Christians, the eagle was the symbol of ascension. This was due to the strong flight of the eagle with its gaze fixed on the sun. In early icons, I was best known as the symbol of St. John the Evangelist.

We had an opportunity to produce a custom challenge coin for the Silver eagles of the United States Armed Forces. They wanted something that reminisce a classic American coin, with an etched eagle on one side, and the United States flag on the other.

Opened in November 2000 Sheriff Phillips supervises his Office and 148-bed Jail Facility. Wapello County is currently ranked 19th in population in Iowa out of the 99 counties within Iowa. We had the opportunity to craft a custom challenge coin for one of their sheriffs that got married. They requested something elegant and bedazzling, and they wanted the coin to show their insignias and a silhouette of the married couple. So, we had the coin to be applied with shiny silver and gold finish., and we also made sure that the engraved insignias were executed properly.

VMA(AW)-224 Challenge Coin

VMA (AW) 242 aka Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 242 is a United States Marine Corps squadron flying F-35B Lightning II STOVL Stealth Fighter. The squadron, known as the “Bats”, is based at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan and falls under the command of Marine Aircraft Group 12 (MAG-12) and the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing (1st MAW).

VMA (AW) 242 was originally activated as Marine Torpedo Bombing Squadron 242 in 1943. Upon activation, the squadron began training at El Centro, Calif., flying the TBF-1 and TBM-1 Avenger. The squadron was then deployed to Espiritu Santo in the Southwest Pacific aboard the USS Kitum Bay in February 1944. Thus began the squadron’s long combat history, starting in the Northern Solomons, later shifting to Saipan and Tinian, and finally to Iwo Jima, where the squadron flew anti-submarine patrols until the end of World War II.

The custom challenge coin that we built for them is dedicated to the squadron members from 1966 to 1993, also known as the Intruder era. They wanted something unsophisticated and with minimum decorations and colors applied. They wanted to have their insignia on one side, and an engraved image of two Intruder aircraft. It’s a handsome, clean and simple challenge coin.

Veterans Museum Challenge Coin

Veterans Museum Challenge Coin

The National Veterans Memorial and Museum (NVMM) is the United States’ national museum in Columbus, Ohio, built for the veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces. It’s only one Museum in America that honors ALL our Veterans – from all branches of service, and from all eras of our nation’s proud history of military service, both peacetime, and wartime.

The National Veterans Memorial and Museum began with a vision from the late Senator John Glenn (1921-2016), Colonel, USMC (Retired), who understood the pressing need to carefully preserve not only the names, dates, and battles but the intimate memories, personal belongings and painful losses of our nation’s veterans.

This is neither a war memorial nor a military museum. The National Veterans Memorial and Museum takes visitors on a narrative journey telling individual stories and shared experiences of veterans throughout history.

We had a chance to create a custom challenge coin for NVMM. They wanted something simple but classy and elegant. They requested to use only one color, red, and everything else would be left unpainted. We used a brushed silver-colored metal for the base material of the coin, and on the front side we etched the image of the building, and on the other side, we engraved an image of the US Flag.

USS Dewey Challenge Coin

USS Dewey Challenge Coin

The Dewey (DDG 105) is the 55th Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer in the United States Navy and is named after Admiral George Dewey, hero of the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish-American War. She was authorized on September 13, 2002, and is scheduled to be built by Northrop Grumman Ship Systems. The keel was laid on July 12, 2006, at the company’s Ingalls shipyard in Pascagoula, Miss.

In April 2013, Dewey was outfitted with a Laser Weapon System (LaWS). This is an experimental weapon that can be used to disable small boats and drones. USS Dewey tested it for the first time, off the coast of southern California. It successfully shot down surveillance drones and fast boats in its first round of sea trials aboard a surface combatant. LaWS can be directed onto targets from the radar track obtained from a MK 15 Phalanx Close-In Weapon system or other targeting sources.

We built them one exceptional custom challenge coin. It is shaped like a key and also functions as a bottle opener. The key-shaped challenge coin was decorated with some engraved military symbols and insignias. On one side it was finished in gold, and on the back side with silver.
