Combat Direction Center Buckle

The Combat Direction Center or CDC is not a specific department per se, but a function within operations. It’s under the United States Department of Defense, and its mission is to keep the Commanding Officer apprised of the overall tactical situation and recommend courses of action as appropriate. CDC accomplishes this mission by collecting, processing, displaying, evaluating, and disseminating tactical information in a timely fashion.

CDC is vested with tactical decision-making responsibility with respect to the ship’s defensive systems and makes recommendations to warfare commanders for overall battlegroup defense. It has specific divisions such as OI Division, OW Division, OX Division, OEM Division, Meteorology (OA Division), and Strike Operations Division.

They ordered a custom belt buckle from us and requested an image of their mascot, a bear, holding and biting their insignia, in front of the Star Spangled Banner. Everything needed to be colored and finished with a shiny coat.

Before we started the cutting and other technical execution, we needed to design a nice layout for all the graphics so it would fit into the surface of the custom belt buckle. Once we have everything in place, the machine will work its magic and as you can see, the final piece of the buckle is crafted precisely and coated beautifully.

Colorado National Guard Coin

The Colorado National Guard has served since 1860 for the communities, state, and nation in times of peace and times of strife and always as the first military responder during state emergencies. It consists of the Colorado Army National Guard and Colorado Air National Guard, forming the state of Colorado’s component to the United States National Guard.

The Colorado Joint Counterdrug Task Force (CO-JCDTF) is a part of The Colorado National Guard. They leverage military skills and resources to limit the effects of illicit drugs on Colorado communities. Their mission is to disrupt illicit drug supply by providing support to local, state, and tribal law enforcement agencies and working in conjunction with federal agencies while reducing the demand for illicit narcotics in Colorado communities through synchronized efforts with law enforcement partners.

They wanted a special design for their custom challenge coin. It is shaped like the tip of an arrow, with machine-carved graphic designs on both sides. On one side they wanted the logo of the Counterdrug, and on the other, they wanted an image of a classic national guard.

As you can see in the photos, the result of our production is precise and beautiful. It’s a combination of flawless machinery and an eye-catching concept design of the coin.

Choate Construction Company represents thousands of families who depend on their loved ones’ safe return home each day. The OneLife identity conveys their unwavering commitment to worker safety, reminding everyone safety isn’t a set of protocols but is a fundamental value.

When they delegated the task of producing their custom challenge coin to us, they requested a design that could represent their commitment to the OneLife program. They wanted the coin to look grand and important, with enough details and minimalistic colors of black and gold. The graphics on the sides of the coin would be their company and the OneLife logos.

What our team needed to achieve when we produced this coin, was the amount of small details of the star pattern and letterings that are machined and also plated with shiny finish of black, gold, silver, and white.

Charleston FBI Challenge Coin

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is the domestic intelligence and security service of the United States and its principal federal law enforcement agency. The mission of the FBI is to Protect the American people and uphold the Constitution of the United States. The FBI is organized into functional branches and the Office of the Director, which contains most administrative offices.

We had the opportunity to design and manufacture a design coin for the Charleston FBI office in South Carolina. The FBI’s highly trained personnel then use intelligence, science, technology, and other tools to investigate federal crimes and terrorism. In some cases, the FBI turns to special tactics and teams to catch dangerous suspects in high-pressure situations.

The design that they sent us was fairly basic: A round-shaped metal coin, with engraved insignia and emblem on both sides. It’s a classic design that is timeless and always gives an elegant and essential vibe to the owner.

Our team with years of experience is always careful with this type of design because while it’s a common-looking custom challenge coin, each composition detail such as graphics, texts, and colors, has to be put flawlessly so the result would be perfect.

Camp Lejeune Challenge Coin

The USN Camp Lejeune, North Carolina was established in 1942, it is a 246-square-mile (640-square-kilometer) United States military training facility in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Home of expeditionary forces in readiness is a warfighting platform from which our Marines and Sailors train, operate, launch, and recover while providing facilities, services, and support that meet the needs of our warfighters and their families.

The main base is supplemented by six satellite facilities: Marine Corps Air Station New River, Camp Geiger, Stone Bay, Courthouse Bay, Camp Johnson, and the Greater Sandy Run Training Area. The first base headquarters was in a summer cottage on Montford Point and then moved to Hadnot Point in 1942.

They ordered a custom challenge coin that is shaped like a shield. They also requested that it would be finished in full colors. Both sides would have engraved insignias, letterings, and other graphics.

The production of this kind of design could be a disaster if we don’t put enough time into making sure that the machine can execute small details such as small embossed patterns or very small carved letters. As you can see in the photos, we managed to nail every detail that you can even read the smallest letterings.
