The Jamaica Regiment Coin

The Jamaica Regiment Coin

The Jamaica Regiment Coin

The Jamaica Regiment is the main formation of land troops in the Jamaica Defence Force. Initially formed in 195, the Jamaican Regiment is a full-time force. Recruits, of whom there is a steady stream, are required to serve for twelve months. Many are tradesmen, and after their years of service, they return to their trade.

The Jamaica Regiment is a non-mechanized infantry regiment consisting of five battalions, three regular infantry battalions, one territorial infantry battalion, and a Combat Support Battalion. The Jamaica Regiment continues to strive for excellence, always preparing to be fit and ready to fight whenever we are called upon to defend our country Jamaica.

They wanted a custom challenge coin and we were commissioned to design and produce a simple yet colorful challenge coin. They wanted coins with smooth edges, and to have the Jamaica Defense Force insignia embossed on one side, and the emblem of the Jamaica 1st Battalion on the other side.

When our clients submit their logo or emblem to us, we will have it converted to digital form in vector format. Then we will design the overall layout of the coin with a computer so it can be read and executed by our computerized machine. Once all of the reliefs and inscriptions are carved, the coin will be painted or coated for the final finish.

SpaceX March Madness Coin

SpaceX March Madness Coin

SpaceX March Madness Coin

SpaceX or Space Exploration Technologies Corp., is an American spacecraft manufacturer, launch service provider, defense contractor, and satellite communications company founded in 2002 by Elon Musk, and headquartered in Hawthorne, California. His goal is to reduce space transportation costs and to colonize Mars. The company currently operates the Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy rockets along with the Dragon spacecraft.

March Madness is the event they call for Space fans worldwide when a triple header of space spectaculars starts overnight with a SpaceX Falcon 9 launched. A trio of launches was planned as launch competitor and arch-rival United Launch Alliance (ULA) planned a duo of nighttime blastoffs from their Delta and Atlas rocket families – following closely on the heels of the SpaceX Falcon 9 launching a commercial telecommunications satellite.

We were asked to manufacture a cool custom challenge coin to commemorate the event. They wanted a contemporary-designed coin, that resembles the image and the mission of SpaceX. No unnecessary patterns or carvings, and using a minimum amount of coloring, so a minimalistic and clean look could be achieved.

We at Embleholics are flexible with the designs and the budget that you have for your custom products. We could give you options based on your submitted design, such as the materials, the finish, and the coating and coloring.

Seventh Fleet Challenge Coin

Seventh Fleet Challenge Coin

Seventh Fleet Challenge Coin

The Seventh Fleet is a numbered fleet of the United States Navy and a part of the United States Pacific Fleet. It is headquartered at U.S. Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan. Its principal responsibilities are to provide joint command in natural disaster or military operations and operational command of all US naval forces in the region.

At present, it is the largest of the forward-deployed U.S. fleets, with 60 to 70 ships, 300 aircraft, and 40,000 Navy, Marine Corps personnel, and Coast Guard support personnel. Ships of the Seventh Fleet also participated in naval exercises with allied partners ranging from Ballistic Missile Defense to Anti-Submarine Warfare. Their Vice Admiral said that the 7th Fleet has several ships with ballistic missile defense (BMD) capabilities and that these ships are multi-mission ships.

We at Embleholics were given the request to produce an elegant and canonic custom challenge coin for them. The design concept was not sophisticated, as a usual challenge coin, they wanted both sides to be decorated with some graphic reliefs such as insignias and emblems.

It’s the details that make this coin look ravishing. The rope pattern on the rims and edge of the coin was machined seamlessly and it gives this coin a delicate look, along with the other flawlessly executed engravings.

Seattle Police K9 Coin

Seattle Police K9 Coin

Seattle Police K9 Coin

The Seattle Police Department has long used dogs’ keen sense of smell to search for suspects, inspect suspicious items, or detect hidden evidence. Their sharp sense of smell is noteworthy. Breeds like German shepherds (and other similar breeds) have an estimated 220 million olfactory sensory cells in their noses, while a human only has about five million. They are ideal for police work due to their intelligence, obedience, loyalty, and, of course, their acute sense of smell.

SPD’s Canine aka K9 Unit is a versatile Unit made up of highly-trained K9 teams equipped to perform a variety of jobs. There are different types of canine dogs working for Seattle PD: Patrol/Generalist Dogs, Narcotics Dogs, Bomb Detection Dogs, and Electronic Storage Detection Dogs.

The Seattle PD K9 Unit ordered this custom challenge coin to honor the service of these dogs. The design was a shield-shaped coin, with some graphic elements engraved on both sides. They also requested the use of their colors, which are black, blue, and white.

The first step in crafting a challenge coin is to have the design or layout digitally so the computerized equipment can read it and do the magic. Digital design is also used to make design mock-ups, so our client can see different alternatives and options. Our state-of-the-art machinery can read complex patterns or textures so the design choices of your custom product could go as far as your imagination.

Sanford Fire Department Coin

Sanford Fire Department Coin

Sanford Fire Department Coin

The city of Sanford’s Fire Department is staffed 24 hours a day, every day of the year. The Department protects around 30,000 people and its jurisdiction covers 26.48 square miles. Sanford is located in Lee County, North Carolina, which was formed from parts of the surrounding three counties in 1907, geologically located above the meeting of white beach sand and Piedmont clay, enabling the city to be a producer of clay bricks.

We had a task to manufacture a custom challenge coin for the Sandford Fire Department’s C-Shift. C-Shift means the working hours from 2300 to 0800 hours with a one-hour meal break every day from Mondays to Sundays including a General Holiday. It is usually by far better than the other shifts with the best firefighters doing the job right the first time.

The coin was requested to have the shape of the Maltese Cross, a symbol of firefighters all around the world. But they also want the coin to function as a bottle opener.

So the solution is to have one of the tips of the cross hollowed out and put the bottle opener tooth there. Their emblem was engraved on the front side of the coin, and the logo of the C-Shift was etched on the back.
