ATF IRSBT Challenge Coin

ATF IRSBT Challenge Coin

ATF IRSBT Challenge Coin

ATF or The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is the federal agency primarily responsible for administering and enforcing the criminal and regulatory provisions of the federal laws pertaining to destructive devices (bombs), explosives, and arson. The ATF also regulates, via licensing, the sale, possession, and transportation of firearms, ammunition, and explosives in interstate commerce.

The ATF’s Nashville Field Division encompasses the states of Tennessee and Alabama, from Music City USA to the Gulf Coast. The Nashville Field Division is responsible for enforcing federal laws pertaining to gun crime, arson, explosives, and alcohol/tobacco diversion.

Nashville, Tennesse, is known to the world as the capital of country music, and often called ‘Music City USA’. When Nashville ATF asked us to build a custom challenge coin, they wanted it shaped in a triangular form, like a guitar pick, so the coin would represent Music City.

They wanted some graphic designs to be embossed on both sides of the coin. One is a laptop with some firearms displayed on the screen to represent the ATF IRSBT, and the other is a guitar with a barrel in the background to represent the city’s heritage in music.

You can see in the photos that those small details that were requested by our clients could be machined precisely on the surface of the coin. The result is one unique and colorful challenge coin.

The Lion Troop Challenge Coin

The Lion Troop Challenge Coin

The Lion Troop Challenge Coin

The 2nd Squadron of the 15th Cavalry Regiment also called ‘The Lion Troop’ or ‘Lion Squadron, is a cavalry regiment of the United States Army. It was one of the Expansion Units originally established for the Spanish–American War but has been a general workhorse unit ever since.

The Lion Troop is a high-performing, disciplined, competent, and competitive team committed to training the future generation of the United States Cavalry to a high standard and building ready Army Families. The cavalry scout is responsible for being the eyes and ears of the commander during battle. They engage the enemy in the field, track and report their activity, and direct the employment of weapon systems to their locations.

We had the honor to design and manufacture a very cool custom challenge coin for the lions. Uniquely shaped like a statue of a lion, this coin was crafted like an art sculpture, with details such as sculpted relief and inscriptions. They requested their mascot, the lion, sculpted on the front of the coin, while on the back are decorated with small engravings such as their insignia and their motto.

We made sure that the design was done perfectly with our computerized drawing method so our state-of-the-art equipment could execute each of the details flawlessly. The result was a stunning custom coin, a perfect blend of natural finish and painted colors.

Arizona U.S. Marshal Coin

Arizona U.S. Marshal Coin

Arizona U.S. Marshal Coin

The Office of the United States Marshals was created on September 24, 1789, with the passage of the Judiciary Act by Congress. The United States Marshals Service (USMS) is a bureau within the U.S. Department of Justice, operating under the direction of the attorney general, but serves as the enforcement arm of the U.S. federal courts to ensure the effective operation of the judiciary and the integrity of the Constitution.

The mission of the U.S. Marshals is to enforce federal laws and provide support to virtually all elements of the federal justice system by providing for the security of federal court facilities and the safety of judges and other court personnel. They are responsible for apprehending wanted fugitives, providing protection for the federal judiciary, transporting federal prisoners, protecting endangered federal witnesses, and managing assets seized from criminal enterprises.

The U.S. Marshal District of Arizona gave us a project to craft their custom challenge coin with an exceptional design. The coin has an oval shape, and they wanted both sides to be engraved with different types of graphics and patterns, such as a U.S Marshal badge.

We at Embleholics always make sure that the design is digitally finished so our computerized machinery can execute the construction of our products, and we also make sure that every detail is finished properly to reach superb quality of aesthetics and durability.

Guardians of The Night Coin

Guardians of The Night Coin

Guardians of The Night Coin

This coin was dedicated to the Guardians of the Night, or the military working dog unit of Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Fort Wainwright is a United States Army installation in Fairbanks, managed by U.S. Army Garrison Alaska (USAG Alaska) and the senior command is 11th Airborne Division.

The practice of using dogs for hunting is not a modern concept, but the idea of specific military working dog-training programs did not become popular until World War I. Contemporary dogs in military roles are also often referred to as police dogs, or in the United States and the United Kingdom as military working dogs (MWD), or K-9. Their roles are nearly as varied as those of their ancient relatives, though they tend to be more rarely used in front-line formations.

We had a chance to appreciate these guardians of the night by making them a cool custom challenge coin. It has the shape of an ordinary round metal coin but with some parts hollowed out to create the shape of a badge within the surface of the coin.

The machined and carved base material then went to the detailing process to apply the images and letterings wanted on the coin. Our computerized machinery allowed us to create shapes and make detailed carvings and perforations on different kinds of materials.

209th Military Police Detachment Coin

209th Military Police Detachment Coin

209th Military Police Detachment Coin

In the United States, military police constitute a separate branch of the army known as the Military Police Corps. The United States Army Military Police Corps (USAMPC) is the uniform law enforcement branch of the United States Army. They also engage in combat as infantry when required.

A Military Police Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of Army personnel, equipment, and resources. They’ll control and secure terrain inside and outside military installations, as well as manage, supervise, and control secured areas. Additionally, they’ll supervise police intelligence missions, help train local law enforcement teams, lead small, tactical military police units, and function as an advisor to the Army Reserve and Army National Guard.

The 209th Military Police Detachment of Fort Benning, Georgia, asked us to build their custom challenge coin for their Military Working Dog unit. They wanted something unsophisticated and timeless design, but with some details that would make the coin look beautiful and elegant.

The base coin material was a copper-colored metal, with some engraved art on both sides of the coin. Our state-of-the-art design and manufacturing process allowed us to create inscriptions with different depths of carving, even to machine a relief sculpture from 2D images, as you can see in the photos to the right.
