Fleet Logistics Center Coin

Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) provides logistics, business, and support services to fleet, shore, and industrial commands of the Navy, Coast Guard, Military Sealift Command, and other joint and allied forces. It also establishes policy and offers guidance for the Navy’s quality of life program.

Located on the shores of Puget Sound, onboard Naval Base Kitsap – Bremerton, NAVSUP FLC Puget Sound provides a variety of logistics support services and products to fleet and shore commands of the United States Navy and other military commands and governmental agencies in the Pacific Rim.

We were given the task of building a NAVSUP FLC Puget Sound custom challenge coin that they were going to give to their Commanding Officer. They requested a classy and elegant coin design that can represent the NAVSUP and the state of Washington.

You can see in the photos on the right that the coin has that distinctive ‘Naval’ design, with the rope pattern etched on the rims of the coin, and also the sculpture of naval symbols such as the Trident. The coin was finished with a brushed dark brass color which sparked a graceful vibe. The minimalistic use of the blue color created nice accents on the overall look of both sides.

Fire Station 43 Challenge Coin

Fire Station 43 Challenge Coin

Fire Station 43 Challenge Coin

A Fire Station, also called a Fireground, is the operational area at the scene of a fire, an area in which the incident commander is in control. Also used as the name of radio frequency to be used by units operating in the fireground, as in “Responding units switch to fireground.” Other terms for a fire station are Firehouse, Fire Hall, Firemen’s Hall, or Engine House.

A fire station is a structure or other area for storing firefighting apparatuses such as fire engines and related vehicles, personal protective equipment, fire hoses, and other specialized equipment. Fire stations frequently contain working and living space for the firefighters and support staff. A fire station will at a minimum have a garage for housing at least one fire engine. There will also be storage space for equipment, though the most important equipment is stored in the vehicle itself.

This one-of-a-kind custom challenge coin we made for a fire station was shaped like the outline of a pre-siren fire station’s bell. Other than being decorated with some graphic designs on both sides of the coin, it also functions as a bottle opener, which definitely will make this coin come in handy in a bar or at a party.

We at Embleholics will make sure that the bottle opener will work, thanks to our high-quality material, quality-check process, and state-of-the-art equipment we use to manufacture the coins.

The Fraud Detection and National Security Directorate (FDNS) safeguards the integrity of the nation’s lawful immigration system by leading USCIS’ efforts to combat fraud, detect national security and public safety threats, and maximize law enforcement and Intelligence Community partnerships.

The Department of Homeland Security, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services created the FDNS Directorate to strengthen the integrity of the nation’s immigration system and to ensure that immigration benefits are not granted to individuals who may pose a threat to national security and/or public safety. FDNS officers serve in USCIS service centers, asylum offices, and domestic and international field offices. Some FDNS immigration officers work in other government agencies.

FDNS of Alabama contacted us to have their custom challenge coin manufactured. They wanted a clean-looking design and a contemporary feel and requested us to put some colored graphic designs on the center of both sides. The graphics that they wanted to show on the coin were the map of Alabama and the insignias of Homeland Security & FDNS.

While the edge and the rims of the coin are unsophisticated, without patterns or unnecessary decorations, the graphic elements that it has on both sides are quite complex since the insignias and the images have small details that need to be carved. The coin would look simple from afar, but when you look at it closely you will appreciate the work we have done to it.

Enumclaw Fire Challenge Coin

Enumclaw Fire Challenge Coin

Enumclaw Fire Challenge Coin

Enumclaw is a city with a population of 12,543 in King County, Washington, United States. The name Enumclaw is derived from the Sahaptin word, meaning “he who makes noise”. Sometimes it is said that “Enumclaw” translates as “place of evil spirits”, apparently referring to Enumclaw Mountain.

The City of Enumclaw’s Fire Department provides fire and life safety services to 22,500 people over 56 square miles. Emergency personnel responded to 2,829 emergency calls in 2022, 78% of which were for emergency medical services. Their mission statement is to compassionately serve their community with a culture of safety and professionalism.

We at Embleholics were asked to build them a custom challenge coin for their 120th anniversary. They wanted a classic but colorful concept for the coin design, and they also requested their emblems to be inscribed on the sides of it. Other than that, it’s all about combining the main elements with the base coin shape and adding details and decorations to make the overall design look rich and refined.

Thanks to our digital designers and computerized machinery, we had no problem carving the shapes and tiny details on the surface of the coin. You can see in the photos that every graphic, pattern, and inscription on both sides was machined flawlessly, including the colors and coat layer applied to this beautiful coin.
