Nancy’s Real Talk No Rank Women’s Group Coin

Nancy’s Real Talk No Rank Women’s Group is an assembly of the crew stationed at USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76). USS Ronald Reagan is the first aircraft carrier and the first nuclear-powered warship, of any type, to be named in honor of a living former president. Since 2016, USS Ronald Reagan has embarked on short annual summer patrols of the Western Pacific in the United States Seventh Fleet area of operation.

Nancy’s Real Talk No Rank Women’s Group then does a lot of events concerning the women in the armed forces. Like a symposium in Yokosuka, Japan, in 2018. Attendees react to a presentation during a Women’s History Month symposium in Yokosuka. The attendees were taking part in Women Trailblazing at Sea, a symposium featuring female leader presentations, discussion groups, and mentoring opportunities. The symposium was organized by USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76)’s Nancy’s Real Talk No Rank Women’s Group and Diversity Committee, which attracted approximately 200 Sailors.

We had the opportunity to build a custom challenge coin for them. They wanted something classic and elegant but also show the feminist spirit that the group has. On one side they wanted to show an image of a soldier’s boot sitting next to a high heel. And on the other side, they requested an image of a dog tag with some inscriptions, with pink as the main color scheme.
