Iron Division Challenge Coin
The 28th Infantry Division is a unit of the Army National Guard and is the oldest division-sized unit in the Department of Defense. It was originally nicknamed the “Keystone Division” as it was formed from units of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, with Pennsylvania being known as the “Keystone State”. Today the 28th Infantry Division goes by the name “Iron Division”, given by General Pershing during World War I.
The 28th Infantry Division is the oldest continuously serving division, and also one of the most decorated infantry divisions in the United States Army. The division has conducted operations in places including Bosnia, Kosovo, the Sinai, Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan. The Iron Division continues to build on its legacy as the Iron Division and 28ID warriors take pride in being fit, resilient, and well-trained in order to support each other and defend the U.S.A.
We have the honor to design and produce one of the most unique-looking custom challenge coins we ever made at Embleholics. The challenge coin was designed with a shape taken from a Spartan warrior helmet. The concept design is out-of-the-box and can be turned into a very memorable design.
The designing process started with 2D images, created by our experienced graphic designers. After everything was applied and balanced out, the approved design went through our precise state-of-the-art machinery that could translate the computerized 2D images into a 3D sculpture, as you can see in the photos.
