The Intelligence Operations Division is a part of the Michigan State Police Department. It consists of the Cyber Section, Regional Communication Centers (RCCs), and The Michigan Intelligence Operations Center (MIOC).

The Cyber Section includes the Michigan Cyber Command Center, Computer Crimes Unit, and Michigan Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The RCCs are staffed 24/7 with highly-trained telecommunicators to respond to requests from law enforcement and citizens for public safety assistance. The Michigan Intelligence Operations Center (MIOC) provides 24-hour a-day statewide information sharing among local, state, and federal public safety agencies and private sector organizations in order to facilitate the collection, analysis, and dissemination of intelligence relevant to terrorism and public safety.

They contacted us to produce a custom challenge coin that would be awarded to their Operations Section officers. They wanted a classic design but with a contemporary flair, so, we had to make sure that the elements implemented in the coin design would go together nicely.

The concept design was gone through our digital design team and went through several revisions before it was approved and went through the sampling process. Once the mock-up was also approved by them, the computerized design went through our modern machinery which could handle almost any kind of design’s shape and form.
