Fish and Wildlife Challenge Coin
The history of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service can be traced back to 1871. They are the only federal government agency whose primary responsibility is to manage fish and wildlife resources in the public trust for people today and future generations. The United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS or FWS) is an agency within the United States Department of the Interior dedicated to the management of fish, wildlife, and natural habitats.
The Washington Game Warden Association (WGA) is primarily made up of active Fish and Wildlife Officers employed by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. Along with FWS, they work together to enhance and promote the professional status of fish and wildlife enforcement in Washington and charitable contributions, protect and perpetuate Washington’s fish and wildlife resources through promoting effective fish and wildlife law enforcement, and aid in any manner any fellow officer in distress.
We had an opportunity to manufacture a custom challenge coin for the FWS and WGA, and they requested a classic design for their coin. Round-shaped metal coin with rope pattern on the edge, and both of their emblems engraved on the sides of the coin.
The result is a timeless and contemporary look of a challenge coin. The brass-colored finish and the green and black paint go together in harmony to highlight the details of the engravings and the lettering.
