Enumclaw Fire Challenge Coin
Enumclaw is a city with a population of 12,543 in King County, Washington, United States. The name Enumclaw is derived from the Sahaptin word, meaning “he who makes noise”. Sometimes it is said that “Enumclaw” translates as “place of evil spirits”, apparently referring to Enumclaw Mountain.
The City of Enumclaw’s Fire Department provides fire and life safety services to 22,500 people over 56 square miles. Emergency personnel responded to 2,829 emergency calls in 2022, 78% of which were for emergency medical services. Their mission statement is to compassionately serve their community with a culture of safety and professionalism.
We at Embleholics were asked to build them a custom challenge coin for their 120th anniversary. They wanted a classic but colorful concept for the coin design, and they also requested their emblems to be inscribed on the sides of it. Other than that, it’s all about combining the main elements with the base coin shape and adding details and decorations to make the overall design look rich and refined.
Thanks to our digital designers and computerized machinery, we had no problem carving the shapes and tiny details on the surface of the coin. You can see in the photos that every graphic, pattern, and inscription on both sides was machined flawlessly, including the colors and coat layer applied to this beautiful coin.
