Air Mobility Challenge Coin & Bottle Opener

As much as we always try our best to design our custom challenge as unique and as exclusive as possible, there are always clients that challenge us with interesting concept, and this custom challenge coin which is also a bottle opener, is one of them. This kind of projects reminds people that anything functional could also look marvelous.

Ordered by the 321st Air Mobility Operations Squadron, we tried to make coin to not look like a regular bottle opener, while maintaining the structure and functionality. We put the logo of the squadron on the front of the coin, and placed the squadron’s graphic insignia on the back, with a cool retro looking skull to frame it.

At a glance you wouldn’t recognize it as a bottle opener, especially with the embossed and painted details on it. It looks like a very colorful and elegant badge, until you realize that it has a ‘tooth’ on a side of the hollowed center. We’re happy that our design could be brought on fun occasions, not just staying on a frame or on a shelf.
