108th Logistics Squadron Coin

108th Logistics Readiness Squadron is a part of The 108th Wing, a unit of the New Jersey Air National Guard. One of the many units stationed at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. If activated to federal service, the Wing is gained by the United States Air Force Air Mobility Command. The 1,200 members of the 108th Wing, New Jersey Air National Guard, fill a multitude of missions at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey.

The Air National Guard as we know it today — a separate reserve component of the United States Air Force — was a product of the politics of postwar planning and interservice rivalry during World War II. The men who planned and maneuvered for an independent postwar Air Force during World War II didn’t place much faith in the reserves, especially the state-dominated National Guard.

We produced one fine-looking custom challenge coin for them. The design is quite basic and classic, but everything was executed perfectly so that it looks stylish and elegant. The engraved and sculpted graphics on both sides of the coin are really machined smoothly so the details are all nicely shown. The colored US Flag and the embossed texts are painted flawlessly, along with the yellow accent encircling the front side of the coin.
