This challenge coin was designed for the USS Nimitz and represents all of those who have served. The five stars around the coin represent the five stars that Chester W. Nimitz had worn as Fleet Admiral. The aircraft on the back of the coin represents the different aircraft that have flown on the ship. On the front, the ship can show the golden anchors which represent the Boatswain’s mates and their hard work to keep the ship afloat. The waves under the aircraft carrier represent the supplies that are essential to the ship which allows it to continue to serve.
