DoD Coins

When we say DOD coins, we means coins that represent all of the civilian and military departments within the Department of Defense. We have made hundreds of DOD coins for Marines, Sailors, the Air Force, Army, and Coast Guard, like this one in particular. We have done it all, including DOD coins for an Admiral.

This customer was part of a Chief’s Mess on a Coast Guard Cutter, and wanted some DOD coins to share with their Mess for distribution to subordinates or other people.

On the front of this coin we featured a Bulldog–the nickname of this Cutter–the Chief and Senior Chief anchors, and an Alaskan landscape behind. The rear of the coin features this customer’s boat, with number and name. A beautiful mountainous rocky landscape rises behind the boat.

This coin is one of many great DOD coins, but was unique in that most DOD coins do not feature landscapes. Our detail and representation of the landscapes was impeccable and really captured that area of Alaska–desolate and rugged.
