Some pieces are made to be handed out. Others are made to be carried. This month’s work sits firmly in the second category, coins and pieces built around identity, service, and shared standards. Here’s a closer look at how two organizations translated their purpose into something permanent.

New Mexico Professional Firefighters Association Coin
The New Mexico Professional Firefighters Association represents career firefighters across the state, those who serve full-time in protection of their communities. Their coin needed to reflect that responsibility and the culture behind it.
We built both a custom challenge coin and matching cuff links around the Maltese Cross, a symbol deeply tied to the fire service and its values of honor, courage, and sacrifice.
One side carries the association’s logo in red, black, and white with hard enamel and a smooth, flush surface for a clean, durable finish. The reverse features a sculpted relief of the Greater Roadrunner, rendered in a blue-gray palette to reflect the bird’s natural tones. The cuff links mirror the logo with polished metal and gloss enamel to maintain clarity in formal settings without losing identity.
Veteran Ventures Capital Coin
Veteran Ventures Capital operates at the intersection of military experience and national security innovation. Their coin needed to reflect both discipline and forward movement.
Instead of a traditional round format, we fabricated this piece in the shape of a military dog tag, pulling directly from their brand identity. The front features an engraved bald eagle with dog tags, while the reverse carries the Star-Spangled Banner in full color, surrounded by their motto. To reinforce the tone, the surface was finished with a machined, gritty texture, giving the piece a raw, field-ready feel rather than a polished, ceremonial one.

10 Funny Military Slang Acronyms and Their Meanings
Spend enough time in any unit and you’ll hear the language that doesn’t show up in manuals but carries just as much meaning. Acronyms like SNAFU, FUBAR, and BOHICA reflect shared experiences, pressure, and the ability to keep moving when things don’t go to plan.
This piece breaks down where these acronyms came from and why they have stayed in circulation. More importantly, it connects those phrases to something lasting, how language, like a challenge coin, becomes a marker of identity long after the moment has passed.
Presidential Challenge Coins
At the highest level of command, recognition becomes more selective, and more meaningful. Presidential challenge coins sit at a unique intersection of military tradition and executive leadership.
This article walks through how these coins are used in practice, and what it actually means to receive one in a moment of direct recognition. Because beyond the design, these coins represent acknowledgment that is given and earned through presence and contribution.

“I had a fantastic experience with Embleholics and recommended them to my classmates while I attended school at the SGM Academy from 2023 to 2024. People are still raving about the design and reasonable cost. Lee and his team were always quick to respond to emails, resolve concerns in a timely manner, and overall were super friendly and easy to work with. 10/10 recommend using for all your challenge coin needs!”

Built to Be Carried
The most effective coins are built around purpose: A unit, a milestone, a moment that needs to be remembered the right way.
Every decision matters: shape, finish, weight, color, and how the piece feels in hand. Done right, it becomes something people keep long after the reason it was given.
