Fort Bragg Challenge Coin
Fort Liberty, formerly Fort Bragg, is a military installation of the United States Army in North Carolina, and is one of the largest military installations in the world by population, with over 52,000 military personnel. Fort Bragg was originally established as Camp Bragg, named after Confederate General Braxton Bragg, as an artillery training site in 1918.
Fort Liberty is the home of the Airborne. For more than half a century, Fort Liberty has had a proud heritage as the Home of the Nation’s finest fighting forces. From the 1950s to the 2000s Fort Bragg has participated in a series of deployments and philanthropic missions.
This coin we crafted is for the Airborne’s Office of Special Warfare (OSW) which is stationed in Fort Liberty. They ordered a coin with a minimalistic design, but still eye-catching due to the use of the colors and graphics on both sides of the coin.
The final design for this unsophisticated challenge coin is one side has a green background with the Airborne’s OSW insignia embossed, and the other side has a black background with the image of a light going through a prism, symbolizing the training that the Airborne personnel have to go through to make them better.
