The 7th Special Forces Group ‘Airborne’ is an operational unit of the United States Army Special Forces activated on 20 May 1960. This Special Forces unit spends much of its time conducting foreign internal defense, counter-drug, and training missions of friendly governments’ armed forces in South, Central, and North America as well as the Caribbean.

Its mission is to organize, equip, train, validate, and prepare forces for deployment to conduct worldwide special operations, across the range of military operations, in support of regional combatant commanders, American ambassadors, and other agencies as directed. Their motto is “Lo Que Sea, Cuando Sea, Donde Sea” or “Anything, Anytime, Anywhere”.

The Combined Logistics Excellence Awards (CLEA) program recognizes logistics operations in the areas of supply, maintenance, and transportation. Each functional area provides essential logistical readiness support to their respective units.
