T-Mobile Challenge Coin
T-Mobile is a company founded in 1994 by John W. Stanton of the Western Wireless Corporation as VoiceStream Wireless. Deutsche Telekom then gained plurality ownership in 2001 and renamed it after its T-Mobile brand. Globally, T-Mobile International’s holdings had a combined total of approximately 230 million subscribers.
T-Mobile is a military-friendly company, that thinks veterans are high performers and often make the strongest leaders, and we are committed to giving them access to the best job opportunities available. To show our commitment to this mission, we’ve pledged to hire 10,000 veterans and military spouses by 2023. If you are a U.S. active duty member, retiree, veteran, current or former guard or reserve, or gold star family member, you qualify for up to a military discount for monthly savings on new T-Mobile rate plans.
This T-Mobile custom challenge coin was ordered to memorialize a collaboration with the US Armed Forces. A pretty simple design concept was given to us, which is to have a T-Mobile logo etched on one side of the coin, and on the other side, they want all the emblems of the US Armed Forces engraved.
While the concept is simple, if you look at the photos on the right, you can see how small the details of the US Armed Forces emblems are. Thankfully our state-of-the-art machinery could achieve the level of detail needed to be etched.
