Air Mobility Command Coin
Air Mobility Command or AMC is a major command (MAJCOM) of the U.S. Air Force. Air Mobility Command’s mission is to provide global air mobility. Established on 1 June 1992, and was formed from elements of the inactivated Military Airlift Command (MAC) and Strategic Air Command (SAC).
Air Mobility Command provides four core mission sets to the Joint Force worldwide, such as Airlift (Deploy U.S. armed forces anywhere in the world), Air Refueling, Aeromedical Evacuation, and The Global Air Mobility Support System, which is a logistics network to project, connect, maneuver, and sustain combat power anywhere on the globe, from the ground up.
The one-of-a-kind custom challenge coin that we crafted for them was ordered by the 1230 Mobile Aerial Port Flight. They wanted something unique and used a square-shaped coin, with a lot of graphics and text carved on both sides of the coin.
On one side they wanted an embossed graphic of a human hand print, and on the other side, you can see beautifully detailed engravings of their airplane and other military vehicles, along with their painted insignias. The level of machined details is superb considering how small the graphics are.
