Guam USAF Challenge Coin
Andersen Air Force Base Guam is one of the few US military bases that can brag about being located in a living paradise. It is a little over 6 km far from Yigo, in the northern part of Guam. Guam is a territory run by a civilian government, but still belongs to the United States of America. The host unit at Andersen AFB is the 36th Wing (36 WG), assigned to the Pacific Air Forces Eleventh Air Force.
As the host unit at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, the 36th Wing’s mission is to project airpower, expand combat capability, and strengthen partnerships from the forward edge of the Indo-Pacific. The US Air Force currently controls four bomber locations throughout the world. The Guam base is one of them, therefore it is extremely important, regardless of the importance of the little island. All of these four locations have been actively involved in every conflict led by the United States of America, whether it was in Europe, Asia, or the Pacific.
We designed and crafted one custom challenge coin for the Guam USAF. They wanted to have an elegant and classic challenge coin, with a shiny finish and the placement of the engraved insignias on the design. They requested us to put the map of Guam on one side, and the map of the world on the other.
