California State Militia Coin

The 2nd Infantry Regiment, California State Militia began in 2012 when 3 members (Jackson, Clayton, and Hernandez) of the 1st Regiment, CSM decided to form, out of a need for standardized training and a shift in goals, to support our state and provide standards that were easy to identify. A history of the lineage of each unit is maintained by the Regiment Historian. Each unit is independent yet joined in the common goal of protection of our communities and state.

They stand to support California’s first responders (Police, Fire, and Paramedics) in any capacity possible. Their goal is to be a force multiplier for them rather than a hindrance. Several of their members participate in C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Team) and have taken many FEMA courses to improve our ability and understanding of emergency operations should the need arise.

They requested a custom challenge coin for the Hotel Company of the California State Militia. Nothing overwhelming with the design, simply having the California State Militia logo on one side, and the insignia of the 2nd Infantry Regiment on the other side.

We used metal with a shiny finish as the base material for the coin. And we made sure that every etched detail was machined precisely, and all the colors on the elements were painted beautifully.
