Charlie Army Challenge Coin
The Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) is an overseas military hospital operated by the U.S. Army. It is the largest American military hospital outside the continental United States. The hospital is located at Wilson Barracks (German: Kirchberg-Kaserne) in the German town of Landstuhl, and was the nearest treatment center for personnel wounded in the War on Terrorism. It serves members of the U.S. Armed Forces, military retirees and their eligible family members.
The Charlie Company of Landstuhl Regional Medical Center asked us produce a custom Army challenge coin for them. Something not common, unique, but also still has a classic vibe. They want to have the base shape of the coin to look like a shield, and with minimal elements to keep the overall design and layout to be modest. Only their logo and insignias to be placed on both of the sides of the coin, and minimal lettering on one side of it.
The choice of brushed dark grey color for the coin’s base material resulting in a very vintage looking challenge coin, yet still up-to-date, with the engraved graphics and simple crimson line on the edge of the coin. The perfectly embossed insignias, flags, and lettering make this coin a truly one-of-a-kind.
