Gold Star Families of Washington

This Gold Star Families challenge coin was created for Gold Star Families of Washington, honoring military families who have lost a loved one in service. The organization provides support, compassion, and community to fallen families while carrying forward the long-standing Gold Star tradition.

Designing the Gold Star Families Challenge Coin

We had the honor of producing a custom challenge coin for Gold Star Families of Washington. The goal was to create something timeless, respectful, and visually refined while incorporating the organization’s identity and military symbolism.

The finished coin uses a traditional round shape with engraved and raised elements on both sides. Their logo is featured prominently, while detailed U.S. military insignias are incorporated into the design to reflect the families and service members the organization represents.

The gold-colored metal finish gives the coin a formal, commemorative appearance. Fine inscriptions and small graphical elements were carefully shaped into the surface so the design would remain detailed without becoming overly busy.
