The phrase carries a double meaning within the Supply Corps. It describes the Corps’ job, keeping the fleet stocked, fed, and equipped well enough that a ship can sail on short notice. It also describes an officer who completes Supply Corps training and earns the same designation.
The motto traces back to a traditional report given by a ship’s supply officer before getting underway, confirming to the captain that the department is ready for sea in all respects. The phrase carried enough weight that the Naval Institute Press used it as the title of the Corps’ own bicentennial history, published in 1995.

This coin isn’t a client commission. It’s our own take on Supply Corps identity, built for our own catalog rather than a specific command.
The design is a coat-of-arms style crest, gold over navy blue. A griffin and a sea creature stand as supporters on either side of a shield patterned with fleur-de-lis. A shell-crested helmet sits above the shield, with stars arranged around the top of the coin.
“Since 1795” is lettered beneath the shield, marking the year the Supply Corps was established. “Ready For Sea” runs around the bottom border, and a rope pattern frames the entire coin.

What Is the Navy Supply Corps?
The Navy Supply Corps handles supply, logistics, contracting, and fiscal support for the fleet, working under Naval Supply Systems Command, or NAVSUP. Its roots trace back to 1795, when the Navy’s first supply officers were called Pursers, a title borrowed from the British Royal Navy.
