SpaceX Coin

SpaceX, officially known as Space Exploration Technologies Corp., is an American aerospace manufacturer and space transportation company founded in 2002 by entrepreneur Elon Musk.

Its ultimate, stated goal is to reduce the cost of space travel and enable the colonization of Mars. Unlike traditional government-funded space agencies, SpaceX is a private company that designs, manufactures, and launches its own rockets and spacecraft with a strong focus on innovation and reusability.

The mission is to make humanity a multi-planetary species by colonizing Mars. It achieves this by building innovative, reusable rockets and spacecraft that have dramatically lowered the cost of reaching orbit. Think of it as a company that combines the ambition of NASA with the innovation and speed of a Silicon Valley tech startup.

We had a chance of building one of the coolest custom challenge coins for them. As opposed to having an ordinary round-shaped coin, they wanted it to be square, and with a lot of engraved decorations and reliefs on both sides of the challenge coin.

Our team of graphic designers laid out the base shape of the coin and started to fill it with graphics and elements, such as vintage patterns for the frame, the falcon mascot, and the rocket launch scenery, before the final design was approved and delivered to our production team, who converted the digital design into the final product, using our state-of-the-art machinery.
