This custom challenge coin was crafted for BAE Systems, Inc. As one of the largest private contractors supporting the U.S. Department of Defense, BAE Systems provides critical technologies and services across all branches of the armed forces. Their portfolio includes combat vehicles, naval shipbuilding and repair, precision munitions, aircraft modernization, advanced electronic systems, and essential C4ISR capabilities. The integrated command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance backbone that drives modern military operations.
For this project, BAE Systems requested a vintage-style coin with a timeless appearance. We designed a classic round challenge coin featuring a traditional rope-patterned rim, polished solid-color finishes, and meticulously engraved logos and symbols on both sides. Although the concept emphasized simplicity and tradition, our design team focused intently on proportion, spacing, and visual balance to ensure the finished coin had a strong, distinguished presence.
Using state-of-the-art equipment, the base metal was cut, shaped, and engraved with exceptional precision. This accuracy allowed even the smallest details like the fine inscriptions embedded within the symbols, to appear crisp and fully legible, even from a distance. The result is a coin that blends heritage-inspired design with modern manufacturing excellence.
