ASO F/A-18 & EA-18G IWST Challenge Coin

ASO (Aviation Support Office) F/A-18 & EA-18G IWST is a specialized organizational unit within the Naval Supply Systems Command’s Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS). IWST stands for Integrated Weapon System Team. They are cross-functional teams focused on optimizing logistics, maintenance, and readiness for specific weapon systems.

This unit is dedicated to the F/A-18 Super Hornet and its electronic-warfare variant, the EA-18G Growler. The team’s mission is to integrate supply, maintenance, and operations to ensure mission readiness for these aircraft. They are a mission-focused logistics team within the Naval Supply Systems Command, dedicated to sustaining readiness and operational effectiveness of the F/A-18 Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler by coordinating supply, maintenance, and support across stakeholders.

This unit contacted us and gave us the order to manufacture an exceptional custom challenge coin for them. They wanted a challenge coin with a trapezoid shape, as opposed to an ordinary round coin. They also want the coin to be decorated with some contemporary graphic design of an aircraft carrier and the planes. Other than that, they wanted the ASO logo, a couple of insignias, and some text to be laid out on the coin.

The result is a striking challenge coin with an unusual shape and bright colors. We had our team of graphic designers make mock-ups of the design for our client to be approved. And using our cutting-edge machinery, the digitally made design was applied to the high-quality material, and finished using premium paint to make sure it holds up over time.
