The American Legion is the largest wartime veterans service organization in the United States, founded in 1919. Its mission is to support veterans, service members, and communities. Local groups are organized into “Posts,” which are numbered, such as ‘Post 141’.
The American Legion Riders (ALR) is a national program within the American Legion, started in 1993 in Garden City, Michigan. It provides a way for Legion family members (Legionnaires, Sons of the American Legion, and Auxiliary) who ride motorcycles to come together.
The members of ALR Deveraux Post 141 are likely to be involved in a wide range of charitable and patriotic events, including: Fundraising Rides, Veterans Support, Patriotic Events, The Patriot Guard Riders (PGR), Community Outreach, and Social Rides. They are a dedicated service group that uses their shared passion for motorcycling to make a significant impact on the lives of veterans and their local community, all under the umbrella of their local American Legion Post.
We had the opportunity to craft them a handsome custom challenge coin. Colored in a brownish matte gold finish, the challenge coin was only decorated with a sculpted eagle logo of the ALR on one side, and the image of the state of Michigan painted with the U.S. Flag’s colors on the other.
Our cutting-edge fabricating machine could create effects and finishes, such as the gritty texture on this coin, as you can see in the photos. It gives the whole design more depth and a vintage vibe, making this coin look more artistic.
