The U.S. Army Sustainment Brigade is a large, modular unit that provides centralized command and control for a wide array of logistical and support functions for a division or larger corps. They are the logistical powerhouses of the Army. Their responsibilities include: Supply, Maintenance, Transportation, Distribution, and other services.
The J4 in a Sustainment Brigade is the principal staff officer responsible for planning, coordinating, and integrating all logistics functions for the brigade. While the entire Sustainment Brigade is a logistics unit, the J4 is the chief planner and advisor to the Brigade Commander on logistics matters. So, the J4 is the Director of Logistics, the principal staff officer who is the master planner and coordinator for all sustainment operations, ensuring that the brigade fulfills its motto: “Sustinendum Victoriam” or “Sustain the Victory.”
We had an order to manufacture a one-of-a-kind custom challenge coin for the officers of the Sustainment Brigade’s J4. They wanted the coin to be shaped like the map of the state of Indiana, as opposed to an ordinary round coin we usually have for challenge coins. Other than that, they requested to have their insignias and symbols be embossed on the fields of the coin.
You can see in the photos how small the insignias are, with all the tiny details and inscriptions. Our sophisticated machine at the fabrication workshop can handle that level of detail, and our equipment could also apply precise coloring to those bitsy lettering and carving.
We at Embleholics will make sure that any ideas or designs that you have can be fabricated flawlessly. Feel free to consult them before you order.
