The USS Patrick Gallagher (DDG-127) is a forthcoming Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer in the United States Navy. Named in honor of Marine Corps Corporal Patrick Gallagher, an Irish immigrant from County Mayo, Ireland, the ship pays tribute to his heroism during the Vietnam War.
The ship is designed to execute a variety of missions, including anti-air, anti-submarine, and surface warfare operations. It is equipped with the Aegis Combat System, vertical launch systems for missiles, and advanced radar and sonar capabilities. Once commissioned, the USS Patrick Gallagher will be homeported in Norfolk, Virginia, and will serve as a vital component of the U.S. Navy’s surface fleet.
We were ordered to craft a belt buckle for the people of DDG-17. They want it to have the image of the destroyer, with some other U.S. Navy graphical elements to go along with it. We used the typical graphical patterns used in the U.S. Navy insignias and logos, such as a ribbon and a chain pattern. They also requested to have some of the elements be colored, so the design would stand out.
We use strong and high-quality material to manufacture belt buckles, since they not only need to be aesthetically pleasing, but also need to be functional and durable. We have our team of quality control to make sure that each buckle is machined accordingly, and it is as functional as it should be
