The Agricultural Specialist (CBP Agriculture Specialist) within U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the frontline defender of America’s agriculture and natural resources. Their primary mission is to prevent the introduction of foreign plant pests, animal diseases, and invasive species into the United States through international ports of entry: Airports, seaports, and land borders. They are a critical component of CBP’s Office of Field Operations.
And the “Agricultural Specialist Program” is the official job title and career track of an “Agricultural Specialist”, which is not a generalist. It is a highly trained specialist with a background in the biological or agricultural sciences. The “program” encompasses the recruitment, training, and career progression for these individuals.
The Agricultural Specialist Program’s Field Operations of San Francisco asked us to manufacture an elegant and stylish custom challenge coin for them. The concept design was quite straightforward: A classic-looking gold-colored round coin, with some relief of graphical aesthetic embossed on the sides, with minimalistic colors used.
On one side, they wanted a sculpted image of the Golden Gate and the cityscape of San Francisco, and on the other, an image of the US Customs K9 unit. Encircling them, some inscription and lettering inside the clean rims of the coin. And finished with a couple of colors: Blue and Green, leaving the other surfaces in a matte gold color with some brush effects.
Our team of experienced graphic designers and manufacturers at Embleholics will help you step-by-step to produce the best coins, medals, or other mementos for your team or unit.
