Yes. Reordering an existing design is straightforward, and it’s a simpler process the second time because the design work is already done.
Three things are already settled on a reorder. The artwork is approved, the specifications are recorded (size, thickness, metal, plating, enamel type and colors), and the proof exists as the agreed reference. There is no design stage, no revision rounds and no approval chain to work through again.
What still applies: production still takes 45 to 50 days. A reorder is faster overall because the design stage is removed, but the manufacturing time itself doesn’t change. If you have a date in mind, work backwards from it the same way you did the first time.
You can also change things on a reorder without starting over, including a different plating or finish on the same design, a revised date, an updated commander’s name, or a different quantity.
Reorders are common for coins that recur: annual department coins, each academy class, every change of command, ongoing unit stock. Many organizations schedule them rather than reacting when they run out.
