Initial artwork is usually ready for your review within 12 to 48 hours of receiving your brief. More complex designs take longer, and you can request revisions before giving final approval.

The design stage runs from your first enquiry to your written approval of the proof. Production’s 45 to 50 days begins only after that approval, so design time is added on top of the production figure rather than included in it.

The artist’s turnaround is rarely the bottleneck. With a first proof back inside two days, the variable is your side: how quickly the proof is reviewed and approved, and whether it needs to clear a chain of command. Two revision rounds with same-week responses is a fast project. The same two rounds with a fortnight of silence between each is not.

You can remove a full revision round by sending everything useful at first contact: unit crest, previous coins, rank and date wording, exact colour references, and any text that must appear verbatim.

There is no cap on revisions, so you can keep refining until the coin is right, and nothing is manufactured until you approve it in writing.

Artwork and unlimited revisions are free, so there is no cost pressure to approve a design you are unhappy with.
