In the Marine Corps, “Acquisition Security” is the policies, processes, and protective measures used to ensure that the Navy & Marine Corps’s acquisition programs (weapons systems, ships, aircraft, IT systems, etc.) are developed, procured, and sustained securely, without adversaries gaining unauthorized access to sensitive information, technology, or supply chains.
They asked us to build them a unique custom challenge coin, and they wanted a standard round-shaped coin, with a combination of a classic Marine Corps-styled look on one side, and a more contemporary look with some graphical elements & illustration on the other side. This concept made the custom coin have two different & extraordinary vibes on each side.
On the flip side, there’s a classic USMC logo with a rope pattern carved on the rim, and their emblem embossed on the center of the field of the coin, and the legend was inscribed with texts in some conventional fonts. And on the other side, a logo was engraved in the middle of the field, encircled with a black & white illustration of a battlefield, with a monochromatic look for the colors.
