Yes. Every challenge coin is individually packaged in a protective PVC case as standard. There is no separate charge, and the coins are then boxed together for shipping.
Individual casing is not a cosmetic detail. Coins shipped loose in a single box rub against each other in transit, and plating scuffs on raised surfaces and edges where they make contact. On a run of 200 coins that means a proportion arrive marked, which is a problem nobody notices until the box is opened the week of the ceremony.
Casing also means the coins arrive usable. They can be handed out or presented straight from the box without anyone sorting, cleaning or inspecting them first.
The PVC case is clear and rigid, so the coin is visible through it and the design can be seen without opening anything. For most orders, including unit coins, department coins, event coins and commemoratives, this is the right packaging and nothing further is needed.
If the coin is a presentation piece rather than a giveaway, upgraded presentation packaging is available. Ask at the quote stage rather than afterwards, so the cost is built into the figure you approve.
Mixed orders are straightforward. Most of the run in standard cases and a handful upgraded for formal presentations is a common request.
