If the delivered coins do not match the proof you approved, Embleholics puts it right. The approved proof is the specification your order is manufactured against.
The proof stage exists for exactly this reason. You receive a digital rendering of both faces showing design, text, size, plating, finish and enamel colors. You revise it as many times as you need, because revisions are unlimited and free, and nothing is manufactured until you approve it in writing. From that moment the proof is the reference document for the order.
What to do if there’s a mismatch: photograph the coins next to the approved proof, and contact us with your order details straight away. Clear photos make the discrepancy obvious and speed up the resolution.
The important flip side, stated plainly: if an error appears in the proof and you approve it, the coins will be manufactured with that error. A misspelled name, a wrong date or an outdated version of a crest will all be struck, because the die is cut from what is approved. This is the most common cause of problems on custom coin orders anywhere in the industry, and it is entirely avoidable with a careful final read.
Review the proof at actual size as well as on screen, and have a second person check names and dates.
