Yes. Coins can be shipped directly to a deployed unit through APO and FPO military mail addresses, and we have produced and delivered coins for units on deployment.

What to plan for:

  • Transit is slower and less predictable. Military mail moves through a different chain than domestic delivery, and times vary by location and by what else is moving. Build in more margin than you would for a stateside address, on top of the 45 to 50 day production window.
  • The address format matters. Use the standard APO, FPO or DPO format with the correct AE, AP or AA designation and ZIP code. A civilian-style address with a country name will be rejected.
  • Large orders may split. Size and weight limits can mean multiple parcels. Tell us the quantity and destination at the quote stage so this is planned rather than discovered.
  • Consider the home station instead. If the unit has not yet deployed, delivering before departure is almost always faster and more reliable than chasing them overseas. If coins are meant to travel with the unit, the shipping window closes well before the departure date.

For a deployment coin, the sensible approach is to start the order 10 to 12 weeks out and deliver before the unit moves.
