Yes. A unit crest, department badge or company logo works on a belt buckle, and the artwork adapts from a coin design without being redrawn from scratch. The minimum order for belt buckles is 25 pieces.

How a buckle differs from a coin:

  • It is worn, not carried. A coin lives in a pocket and comes out for a coin check. A buckle is visible every time it is worn, which changes what the design is doing.
  • It is larger. More surface area means fine detail in a crest survives at full legibility, and text that would be marginal on a 1.75 inch coin is comfortable.
  • The outline is free. A buckle does not have to be rectangular. The shape can follow the insignia itself, which is harder to justify on a coin where a custom outline adds cost.
  • The minimum is lower. 25 pieces against 50 for coins, so a buckle run suits a smaller group.

Buckles work particularly well where a coin already exists. Running both from one design gives a unit a carried piece and a worn piece without paying for artwork twice, and the pairing is common for commands, ships and departments.

Plating, enamel and finish options match the coin range.
