Each challenge coin is individually packaged in a protective PVC case as standard. There is no separate charge for it.

Individual casing matters more than it sounds. Loose coins shipped together rub against each other in transit and the plating scuffs, particularly on raised surfaces and edges. Casing also means the coins arrive ready to hand out or present, without anyone sorting and cleaning them first.

The PVC case is a clear, rigid protector, so the coin is visible through it and the design can be seen without opening anything. For most orders, including unit coins, department coins and event coins, this is what buyers want and nothing further is needed.

If the coin is a presentation piece rather than a giveaway, ask about upgraded packaging when you request your quote. Presentation options affect total cost, so they are better factored into the quote than added afterwards, and they change how the coin is received. A coin handed over in a case at a retirement reads differently from one passed across in a sleeve.

For a mixed order, with most coins in standard cases and a handful upgraded for the formal presentations, just say so when you order.

Shipping is free within the continental United States either way.
